In this tutorail im ganna show you how to turn a very boring old render into a new looking render.
Step 01First open any image you want it can be a render, stock or anything. I'm ganna be using this one.
Step 02Now Duplicate the backround layer.
Step 03Now click on the top layer and then : Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur. The settings i used for this is 3.0, this is what i got so far.
Step 04In the final step click on the blured layer set it to overlay and what you see is your end result. Heres mine.
The other blending options i like are Multiply & Lighten. Hope you enjoyed the tutorail. This mainly a tutorial for newbie's to photoshop.

Well, in my case... I would like to add Soft Light about 50-75... that also adds some shiny effects too ^^

I use Soft Light when i add a B/W gradient map and ofcourse I lower the opacity.

Not bad, but I'd also suggest Applying Image > Sharpen
