So I created an official design blog on Tumblr for my work and I'm starting to work with Tumblr themes for practice/fun. What do you all think? Not sure what to put text-wise on the home page yet... Also... am I missing something?
I'm around and round we go

I have never worked with tumblr themes before so forgive me for my ignorance... how hard is it? What can you use to customize, is it similar to PB layout or are you locked in a template?
Just going to ramble on some commments...
1) Love the color scheme. Soft and calm. That texture on the banner is superb. The only color that doesn't "fit" is the gray background, something about it is giving me a weird fuzz illusion on the edges. Not sure if you can control that color?
2) For the home page, those % bars I feel like should be left aligned to compare them all together, sort of like on an y-axis. Not a huge deal but I think it would look clean. They are fun!
3) I like the circle gallery layout, but I do want some sort of hover on the circles. It could be simple like the hover on the menu buttons, but I feel like you could have some fun with effects/transforms.
4) Circle buttons for navigation are great, icons and all.

It's different, that's for sure. It's all in one style sheet and all the variables and what not are hard to keep track of at first. I had to use this a lot:
www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_themesI wanted to add a hover on the circles! I tried and it didn't work right because of the how the Tumblr pages were set up so I gave up. I should try again though.
What would you suggest instead of the gray background?
