Anyone got some good tutorials on coding layouts? I have minimal html/css knowledge and that was 7 years ago. I searched up some tutorials myself but I feel like a lot of the stuff is outdated. Basically I'm trying to code this design I made a few days ago.
Preview: thomasnguyen.co/lmso.pngMy pathetic attempt lol: thomasnguyen.co/ERC/test.htmlI'm currently having trouble with 2 things:
1) How should I put an search icon where the search button is?
2) How would I tackled the about me section? Like what should I be doing.
I'm looking for you guys to do anything for me but it would be helpful if I was pointed in the right direction.

Here's something for the search icon using Flexbox:
philipwalton.github.io/solved-by-flexbox/demos/input-add-ons/If your design is based on a grid, I would advise using a CSS grid system. I like Bootstrap's the best, but Foundation is also good. tbh I use Bootstrap to start all of my projects -- I use the base of their CSS and then expand on it.
If you're making it responsive, do it mobile-first.
codemyviews.com/blog/mobilefirstMake sure that you're concatenating your stylesheets and script files, unless the server is running HTTP/2. In which case, it's more efficient to load an individual stylesheet for each component as necessary:

Ok, Ive been away from the scene for years so I haven't heard about flex box until now. I had the impression that it was used on only stuff like pricing tables. Im guessing that's not true?
And super super thanks Eli! I'll be sure to do some research of my own and ask questions again soon!
