I know @cowardlydog and I were probably the only ones using PaintShopPro back in the day...
But does anyone happen to have the program still installed and might be able to open a .pspimage from 2011? (lol)
I am almost positive that you could save from PSP into a photoshop file, but it doesn't seem to work the other way around. Photoshop won't open the .pspimage at all.

The latest PSP now opens PS files. But I have PSP installed still. Send me the file and I will try. It will most likely flatten/merge some layers etc though

theanswer it was an awesome program
Did things so much different than PS... to me, its tools were actually better/easier at the time.
Now that I've grown so accustomed to PS I know how to do stuff faster, but back then I could do the same effect/drawing in PSP and take half the time than PS.
Plus, PSP's pen tool was BOMB. It was like illustrator, but inside of a photoshop interface. You know PS's pen tool sucks, don't lie.

I still love PSP, I think for me it's now a simple case of having used it for so long, it's easier, rather than learning and getting used to PS or any others' tools and shortkeys
