Welcome to my first tutorial

Today you should be creating this:
1.) Open up a new document, 720 x 25 pixels. Choose the rectangle tool and draw a rectangle to fit the canvas exactly.
2.) Choose the fill options a select Gradient > Linear. Use these settings --->
3.) You will need to change the grad settings, and make your gradient line look like this --->
i12.tinypic.com/2qvto5z.png4.)Now, create another rectangle at the top of your current one , about 10 pixels in height, with a full white fill. Then go to Commands> Creative> Fade Image. Choose the far right top option, the image of the children playing with the bottom half of the picture faded.
5.) Lower the opacity to anywhere between 10-55, whatever you look the like of best. You should now have this ---->
i13.tinypic.com/29pp2d4.png6.) (Optional) Finally you may add crosslines to the gradient by going to textures -- > Line Diag 1. You should now reduce the opacity to around 5-10.
Now your done.. Final result --->
