First tutorial, enjoy.
First off your stage is open, first you need to click on the plane (ground) and delete it, as it will obstruct your effect.
Click on the torus icon:
And start randomly placing torus's around the scene, but try and keep them close together. Rotate and scale the torus, so none of them look the same.
Your scene should now look something like this:
Now you need to click on the G (group) button, to lock the pieces together, and start copying and pasting it in different positions, around the scene. (CTRL+C CTRL+V) and rotate the groups.
You should end up with something like this:
Next you need to create a sphere:
It should appear in the centre of your scene.
You need to click on the edit tab and move your cursor into the middle of the edit tool until the square gets bigger.
Click in the middle and drag and your sphere should start getting bigger, keep dragging until your sphere covers your torus's.
Now move your camera inside your sphere:
Into the middle of your torus's.
Your screen will be blank, until you add some light to it, randomly place 3 lights.
Then your scene should look something like this.
Now the last step, push CTRL+A to select all the objects you have created, then click the arrow right side of the edit tab.
Choose your texture, it only works with reflective textures, like the metals collection.
I prefer to mix and match 2 different textures, the silver and the blue work the best.
Now you can render, with the default scene size, it shouldn't take much longer then 6mins to render.
Outcome:
To change the colours, I just opened it up in PSP7, grey scaled it, and played around with the lighting affects.
Hope you enjoyed the tute
I'm around and round we go

Looks like a good result. And different from a c4d type render. I wonder what would happen if i try to convert it into c4d.
