[PS] Making Realistic Fog photoshop

Fog
Its really simple to make fog in photoshop. The first step is to get your picture. I chose this one here.
Next you're going to want to make a new layer. And choose the Brush Tool. Get the settings to match the ones below. Also choose very very light Gray as your color. #C5C5C5 for example
Draw lines across where you want fog. Remember to make it seem like the fog is behaving naturally.
Next go to Filters>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 50.
The Outcome should look something like this.
Create a new layer and change the brush settings to the one below. Same color
In concentrated bursts click to make two or three spots where you want the fog to be thickest.
The hit Ctrl + F to Use the Gaussian Blur.
Press Ctrl + E so that the two fog layers become one. Set the opacity to 80%.
Now we're going to restrict the fog to the water. Choose your eraser and set it to below
Keep the fog in one area. For example. The fog in my image is over the water and overlaps a bush that is closer to the camera. I'm going to erase that piece of over lapping and I'm going to make the fog look smaller by erasing some of the top. Finish erasing and it should look like this.
Set the Blending Mode to Luminosity and You're done! The finished product is below!

I think it looks fine without the need to set it to luminosity

You could try rendering some clouds with that filter and then overlaying it over the other clouds. Then you could merge them down. Idk, it looks fine really. Good job!
